My goodness, the time has flown by, and another week is gone! Halloween is tomorrow, and my costume is ready- Rizzo from Grease. My week was lovely, with lots of good hang outs and movies. It was like this:

Chez Sucre Chez

I want these. Or need to make my own.

I've had the loveliest weekend. After five days stuck at home with a fever and flu, I finally got out on friday night to see my friends' band, The Grown Ups, play at Broken City. It's been months since my last live show, and I can't believe I waited so long. The Grown Ups were charming, talented, and hilarious, and I fully enjoyed myself. Yesterday morning, I had coffee in bed, with cream cheese, onions, and smoked salmon on rye toast. I got a few pages into Turn Of The Screw before changing my mind yet again about whether or not it was too scary- I think I'll wait until Halloween is over. Victorian horror is truly chilling, even without the modern day gore, or even seeing the monsters and ghosts. Something about the writing makes my blood crawl. So it was off to dinner with my friend, and then to Winners and Superstore. Back home again, with a new purple felt bag, to get ready for a movie- Where The Wild Things Are. The story is terribly sad, but the movie itself is so beautiful, and funny, that I can't wait to see it again. Karen O did a fantastic job with the music, and Catherine O'Hara voiced the Wild Thing Judith, making me think of all the other wonderful movies she's in. Thanks to my date for a lovely evening! St. Vincent was haunting on Austin City Limits, and as much as I was awake for, Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks were, as usual, perfect for each other in You've Got Mail. Now, hot coffee and pomegranate green tea while I work and wait for friends to visit. I'm looking forward to visiting with friends again tonight, and maybe another date?

Saturday Part 2

(This is such a typical picture of both)

(Black bears are supposed to be very dangerous, aren't they?)

(Yes, to everything about this picture)

(At an Italian dinner party)

(One day, I would like this to happen in my life)

(I'm not sure who the boy is, but that's Josephine, who was too smart for her own good)

(I have a weakness for kid gloves)

(My mom's postcards and pictures at our cabin)

(It's a hand towel!)

(I like to think this is Ireland, or faerieland)

(Only the best movie)

(Mist that isn't creepy)

(Moivaro nursery school)

(Nuru and Diana in the stream behind the school)

(Visiting an oasis would be incredible)

Saturday Part 1

I was cleaning out my documents yesterday, and I came across a picture folder marked 'Misc.' and full of a collection of my own pictures, and things that have struck me over the past few years. So I put on some Dmitri Shovaskovich and selected a few to share. I don't know where all of them are from, but hopefully I can put down why I saved them.

(The Peter Pan statue in Kensington Gardens is possibly my favorite place in London)

(I love buttons)

(This is Sharon. She was wild, but after a few weeks, the cuddliest little thing ever.)

(Pollock's store and Toy Museum are amazing. I wish I had a place to put all my paper theatres)

(This makes me think of swimming at my cousins' lake)

(Tim Walker of course)

(By the ever talented Kris Atomic)

(Just bizarre)

(Christmas 2007, with my grandma)

I sent my cousin a link for a lovely acorn necklace off etsy the other day, and our friend sent us this lovely little bit:

Wendy asked Peter Pan for a kiss but he'd never heard of a kiss. He gave her an acorn instead. She took it and kept it close to her heart. One day, the Indians shot an arrow at her, and instead of shooting her through the heart, the arrow was stopped by the acorn and it was just as a good as a kiss.

Juco

Check out jucophotography.com- makes me glad I'm blonde.
This post is dedicated to my dear friend Mary, all the way across the globe is sunny Italy. I found thefrock.com off a blog I can't now remember, but here are some high-lights, complete with the little blurb that goes with each dress/cape/outfit. Yes, every one I've picked has fur or feather detailing.
